About

We curate memories, not checklists

Curating Memories is a personal travel library — the destinations, experiences and journeys we would recommend to a close friend.

Why this site exists

Most travel content is written to rank, not to help. We wanted the opposite: a small, carefully built library of places worth the effort, described honestly, photographed properly, and organised so you can plan a real trip from it.

Everything here is structured around memories — the moments that stayed with us long after the trip ended. If an experience didn't earn that, it isn't on the site.

Travel slowly, photograph generously, and keep the memories that matter.

Personally experienced

Nothing appears on this site unless we have been there ourselves. No borrowed itineraries, no stock imagery, no guesswork.

Honest Memory Scores

Instead of generic five-star reviews, every experience is scored on photography, crowds, value, whether it was worth it, and whether we would do it again.

Photography-led

We plan around light and season, then show you what the place actually looks like — including when the weather doesn't cooperate.

Useful over impressive

Timings, costs, transport and small warnings matter more than adjectives. Every guide is written to be used on the day.
