We had talked about this for four years.

The first thing you notice isn't the snow. It's the silence. Twenty people on a terrace at 3,454 metres and not one of them speaking above a murmur, because the Aletsch Glacier does something to you that photographs never manage.

Was it expensive? Yes. Would we do it again tomorrow? Absolutely.
