Here is what nobody says: it is worth it, and there are ways around it. Buy lunch at Coop. Get the travel pass. Stay in the valley, not on the mountain. Spend the money you save on the one summit that matters most to you, and do that one properly.
Switzerland does not need to be done completely. It needs to be done well.
